Purpose: The purpose of this study is to reveal the contribution to communication of corporate networks, which are an important part of corporate communication. In this regard, Migros Ticaret A.Ş., which is one of the leading companies in food retail sector in Turkey, is taken as an example of where the findings regarding how applications that are conducted in Turkey can be presented and how intranet and extranet applications are evaluated with regard to corporate communication. Method: A literature review and an in-depth interview technique, a qualitative research method, were used in this study. The sample of the research is Migros Ticaret A.Ş. The study evaluates the findings in light of the information obtained in the face-to-face, in-depth interview with the Migros Ticaret A.Ş. Corporate Communication Official following the drawing of the framework of theoretical study on corporate communication and corporate networks. Findings: It was seen in the study that the company carries out its intranet operations with two applications called Otonet and MIO and that it conducts its extranet operations with the MeMobil and MoneyClub applications. It is noteworthy that 26,000 employees communicate and share over a wide range of platforms on the intranet applications. In the extranet networks, a communication network has been established with over 3,000 suppliers and customers. Conclusion: Migros’ intranet applications seem to have an important share platform feature among employees. While on the one hand, the flow of information in many areas is provided in this environment, on the other hand, sharing among employees shows that the communication network is strong. It has also been found that the communication network established with suppliers in extranet applications contributes to the rapid and efficient operation of the business. The fact that customer communication is valued by the business and that consistent updates and innovations in the software and hardware used in the tools directed to them is also noteworthy.
